A Hero Deck for the New Age

Well, I've seen plenty of HERO builds, but all of them are built on an outdated philosophy. How will this deck top without a modern techniques? Those builds might have succeeded four years ago, but it won't work now in the current meta. We need a more modern approach to HEROes. This is the future. I pronounce to you... HOBAN HERO!



First I implemented obvious staples such as Thunder Dragon (easy +1), Upstart Goblin, Reckless Greed, and Sacred Crane. Then I maxed out on all the searchers. Why wouldn't you run Emergency Call at max? You need the utmost consistency. For that reason, I've also included Armageddon Knight and HERO Mask to dump Shadow Mist. I've included the Diamond Dude Engine, because he can net you even MORE draws for maximum consistency. I'll give credit where it's due, many HERO players have already realized how good that engine is because of all the easy draws. Hope for Escape was an easy choice to implement, since you run triple Upstart and A Hero Lives. I've also included Rescue Rabbit, Sparkman, and Common Charity, just exactly as Hoban would have, and thanks to the new-found consistency of the deck, I've found only one Call is necessary.
