Cardfight: Vanguard Discussion Thread

Cardfight: Vanguard is a TCG that's been gaining some popularity (evidently especially in Japan according to my friends there).

Not really a game for tryhards due to a sack factor, but aforementioned sack factor makes it really fun to play because you're never completely sure what will happen.

While some clans (what you would call "archetypes" in Yu-Gi-Oh) are stronger than others pretty much all clans are viable. Hell, even the incomplete clan with only four cards can be used if you splash it in with other cards from different clans xD.

Basically, you can play with whatever you want and still have a shot at winning. Decks are pretty inexpensive (except whichever deck is flavor of the month) so it's a great game to just play casually with friends in between tryhard Yu-Gi-Oh tournament matches and whatnot.

Not much. I've pretty much dropped Yu-Gi-Oh completely because I can't afford the cards for a winning deck ._. all that I really have left is incomplete Gusto build and mostly complete (extra deck could use some edits, side deck is terrible) Six Samurai deck.

I'll probably go to nationals this year anyway (in the Czech Republic to get into nationals all you need to do is pay entry fee lol) but the only TCG that I play much nowadays is Cardfight Vanguard ^^' (except for Buddyfight but only around 2 other guys in my area play that so I only have a starter deck, same for Wixoss, only me and 2 other guys play)

Figured I might as well make a thread for it, although I don't think anybody that's joined yet plays x3
